<p>Substd. diphenylmethane derivs. of formula (I) and their salts are new. R1 = H, Me; X = -CO- or -CH2-; Y = -CH-A or -C=CH-CH2-A; A = -NR4R5 or 5-6 membered heterocyclic ring contg. 1-3 N atoms or an N/O pair (opt. substd. by 1-4C alkyl, benzyl, 2-furanylmethyl or 2-thienylmethyl); R2 = H, 1-4C alkyl, 1-4C alkoxy, di(1-4C)alkylamino, NO2 or halo; R3 = H, phenyl, 1-10C alkyl, 3-10C alkenyl, 3-10C alkynyl, -(CH2CH2O)n-H, -(CHOH)m-H or I-bis (when X = CO); R4, R5 = independently 1-4C alkyl (opt. substd. with phenyl); n = 1-3; m = 2-4. An example of (I) is methyl 2-(3-benzoylphenyl) propionate.</p> |
