A device (1) for spacing from a wall a refrigerator or a general-use domestic electrical appliance comprising a cabinet (5) whose back face (4) is to be positioned against the wall, this face (4) bearing a functional element (6) of the domestic electrical appliance which projects with respect to the back face or is separated therefrom. The device comprises at least one space element (2) which is mounted on the face (4) of the cabinet (5) and comprises a body articulated to a support (3) projecting on the face (4), this body being capable of occupying at least two positions with respect to the support (3), a first position, in which its longitudinal axis (K) is parallel to the longitudinal axis (W) of the cabinet (5), and a second position, in which its longitudinal axis (K) is perpendicular to the back face (4) of the cabinet, given that, when it is in its second position, its outer end part is separated from the said face (4) of the cabinet (5) by a greater distance than the functional element of the domestic electrical appliance. <IMAGE> |
