PURPOSE:To obtain an alpha-keto-acid oxime useful as a synthetic intermediate for pharmaceuticals on an industrial scale at a low cost by adding and reacting a cultured cell, etc., of a specific microorganism to an amino acid, etc., and directly adding hydroxylamine hydrochloride to the obtained reaction solution. CONSTITUTION:An amino acid or its salt is made to react (at 25-35 deg.C for 6-24hr under aeration and agitation) with cultured cell or treated cell of a microorganism capable of converting the amino acid into an alpha-keto-acid (e.g. microorganism of genus Proteus mirabilis), the obtained reaction liquid is directly added with hydroxylamine hydrochloride or hydroxylammonium sulfate and the resultant slurry is cooled and then stirred for 1-6 hr to obtain the objective alpha-keto-acid oxime. |
