The active vehicle suspension-control equipment incorporates a level-regulation system with a first active setting unit functioning dependent on the relative inward spring movement (xrel). Additional passive spring and/or damper units are provided between suspension and superstructure. In addition to this active setting unit (K) there is a second one in the form of an active or semiactive damper (Bsa) between suspension and superstructure, both being incorporated in a common control circuit. The latter uses both the relative inward spring movement and the vertical absolute velocity (Vabs) of the superstructure to control both units.
