<p>PURPOSE:To increase the number of pads, i.e., pins, without increasing the area of a semiconductor chip to be applicable to a small number of gates by providing an input/output pads arranged in array at fixed intervals in a transistor area and a wiring area. CONSTITUTION:Input/output pads 101 are arranged in array in a transistor/ wiring area 102 in a chip. As for the intervals between the input/output pads 101, fixed intervals are taken and the pads are lined up for easier wiring in the vertical and horizontal directions. Power source supply to the chip 104 is improved by directly connecting the power source with a power source line 103 in the periphery. Thus, the number of the pads in one chip is increased without increasing the area of the chip. This constitution is applicable to a chip that has many pins and a relatively small number of gates.</p> |
