PURPOSE:To speed up the whole painting-out process by providing an image data memory where image data can be accessed at the same time, an edge flag detection part which holds edge flag data indicating whether each picture element is an intersection of a contour and a scanning line, and a logical arithmetic part. CONSTITUTION:On the image data memory 101, image data of respective picture elements of one picture are held and image data of respective picture elements on one scanning line are accessed at the same time. The edge flag data memory 102 holds the edge flag data indicating whether or not each picture element is an intersection of the contour of a figure and a scanning line. A painting- out processing circuit 105 is equipped with an edge flag data holding part 110, the edge flag detection part 120, and the logical arithmetic part 130. The respective picture elements on the scanning line are painted out at nearly the same time. Consequently, the fast painting-out processing can easily be performed. |
