<p>PURPOSE:To improve operability by providing a searching means to detect the existence of a tuner and a control means to drive a picture display device by an output signal from the tuner when the tuner exists. CONSTITUTION:A detecting means 5 to detect power is off and the searching means 6 to detect whether or not a picture display device 4 of a TV, monitor, etc., has the tuner 9 are provided. Then, when the power for the video/audio reproducing device 1 is turned off, by the output of the detecting means 5 and the searching means 6, the control means 7 to control the state of the picture display device 4 is operated. By the operation of this control means 7, in the case of a TV in which the picture display device 4 has the tuner 9, the screen display is by means of the output signal from the tuner 9, and in the case of a monitor which does not have the tuner 9, the power source to the monitor is automatically turned off and unnecessary picture is not displayed. Consequently, work for an operation is saved and speeded up, and the operability is improved.</p> |
