PURPOSE:To prevent the waste of a copying time required for sorting from occurring because a sort mode is forgotten to be set by detecting the existence of a document by a document detection sensor and switching the action of a sorter to the sort mode when the number of copying sheets which is >=2 is set. CONSTITUTION:A controller 10 which actuates a device 2 based on a copying condition and a copying mode inputted through a control panel 12 is provided. Then, a CPU 4 is provided with the document detection sensor 16d which can check whether the document is placed or not. Besides, an automatic document feeder (AD) 16 which feeds the plural sheets of documents one by one and the sorter 18 which stocks a copied and ejected paper while gathering it are connected. That means, when the existence of the document is detected by the sensor 16d arranged in the ADF 16 and the number of copying sheets which is >=2 is set, the action of the sorter is switched to the sort mode. Thus, a copy already copied is prevented from being ejected in a lump without being sorted when the plural sheets of documents are copied. |
