PURPOSE:To prevent the generation of a personal miss at the time of patch application by automatically applying a patch to necessary software by a system in accordance with a request generated from a patch requester. CONSTITUTION:When the patch information of software 21 is issued and a patch issue request is executed, a patch issue request receiving means 41 in a patch managing computer 4 registers the issued patch information in a patch managing file 51. On the other hand, a necessary patch extracting means 42 refers to a user management file 52, extracts necessary patch information in each user computer 1 and sends the extracted contents to the user computer 1 to be practically applied by a patch output means 43. The computer 1 receives the patch request sent through a communication line 3 by a patch application request receiving means 11 and applies the received patch request to the software 21 in a secondary storage device 2 by a patch applying means 12. Thus the generation of a personal miss can be prevented at the time of executing patch application.
