PURPOSE:To prevent the quantity of received light from decreasing and to prevent the focusing accuracy on a far distance side from degrading by providing a control means for time serially controlling the light emission operations of plural light emitting elements. CONSTITUTION:Light projecting means 3 to 5 for condensing the luminous fluxes of the plural light emitting elements 1, 2 which time serially emit light to the same point, the control means which time serially controls the light emission operations of the light emitting elements 1, 2 a position detecting means which detects the incident positions on the light projecting means 3 to 5, and a distance computing means which computes the distance up to a subject 6 by time serially integrating the signals from the position detecting means are provided. Namely, the light emission operations are stopped by the control means and the next light emitting elements are made to emit light before the light emission energy of the respective light emitting elements decreases and, therefore, the total of the light emission energy of the respective light emitting elements increases. The quantity of the received light is prevented from decreasing and the focusing accuracy on the far distance side is prevented from degrading in this way. Out-of-focus photographing is thus prevented. |
