The chain is intended for caterpillar engines. It has smaller mass per unit length and smaller power losses in the hinge joints. It consists of consecutively mounted tracks (1), with barrels (8), nodes (2) and a small shaft (3), connecting each couple of tracks. Besides, each track has two nodes, one on both connection sides, the working side of each node representing a part of a lengthwise section of a cylindrical bushing with internal diameter, corresponding to the diameter of the small shaft and its length covers the entire connection side of the track. The outer diameter of the nodes corresponds to the track concavities turned towards them. In one of the alternate versions of the chain, the length of the small shaft is equal to the length of the tracks nodes and its axial displacement fixing is ensured by special conical stoppers (9), mounted in the barrel holes. One of the stoppers is mounted so that its smaller diameter is directed towards the outer face side of the barrels.
