PURPOSE:To generate musical tone waveforms by using a memory means of a smaller capacity by storing and reproducing waveform data by the data form meeting its characteristics. CONSTITUTION:A flag memory 15 stores the flag (a) from a CPU 1 according to the kinds of the waveform data read out of a waveform memory 5 and selects and outputs the inputs A, B of a selector 25 by this flag (a). The B input cumulatively computed by a cumulation circuit constituted of a gate 21, an adder 22, an FF 23 in the case of differential data and the A input which is the amplitude data itself in the case of amplitude data are respectively selected and are outputted from the selector 25. The waveform data W is reproduced and outputted in the amplitude value data type in such a manner even if the waveform data read out of the waveform memory 5 is the amplitude value or the differential value data. The data is stored in the data form meeting its characteristics in this way and the musical tone waveforms are generated. |
