The invention concerns a spiral fastener for attaching a conductor, in particular an insulated overhead power line 1 at an insulator 2, which fastener has a spiral-shaped tensioned spiral section 3 the internal diameter of which corresponds to a maximum of the external diameter of the conductor and a loop 5 which can be arranged around the neck of the insulator. In order to enable the spiral fastener to suppress vibrations of the conductor, a second spiral-shaped tensioned spiral section 4 is connected to the end of at least one spiral section 3 of the spiral fastener, the internal diameter of which second spiral section is larger than the external diameter of the conductor 1. <IMAGE>
