Cylinder machines.-Rotation of the impression cylinder of a stop-cylinder machine is effected from the rack of the type-bed through a pinion 11, Figs. 1 and 2, connected to a disc 14 having a recess (18) adapted to receive a catch 6 on the end of a pivotable rod 9 passing through the cylinder and carrying on its other end a roller 8 engaging in a guide track 12 of a segment 5 pivoted at 4 to a stationary disc 2 and connected by a link 10 to a rod 15 movable within a one-way axial clutch 16 and actuated by a spring 17, the position of the catch with respect to the recess being controlled by the position of the rod 15 and the co-operation of the roller 8 with the track 12 as the cylinder rotates. |
