PURPOSE:To decrease the number of input ports by selecting the content of an initial address register or the output of an arithmetic circuit and inputting the same to a pointer according to the result of the comparison of the output of the arithmetic circuit and the content of a final value address register and synthesizing voice signals. CONSTITUTION:The pointer 321 inputted with the content Q1 of the initial address register 140 reads out the top address P1 of divided voice data arrays to the pointer 350. A voice decoding circuit 370 synthesizes the voice signal in accordance with the voice data of one word instructed by the top address P1 and synthesizes the entire part of a sentence by successively repeating this operation. The arithmetic circuit 130 adds 1 to the content Q1 of the pointer 321 to make Q2. The Q2 is smaller as the result of the comparison of the result Q2 of computation and the final value address Q12 in a comparator circuit 160 and, therefore, a selection circuit 120 transfers the Q2 to the pointer 321 to synthesize the entire part of the sentence. One piece of the input pointer 110 is necessitated in this way and the number of the pointers is reduced. |
