<p>PURPOSE:To improve color characteristics and to obtain the color filters of a low cost by producing partition walls which act effectively in a stage for dyeing dyeable medium layers to pattern shapes by a black matrix. CONSTITUTION:A photosensitive resin layer 2 from which exposed parts are removed in a developing stage and a silicone rubber layer 3 and laminated in this order on a light transparent substrate 1 formed with the black matrix between previously patterned picture elements. Exposing and development processing are executed by a photolithography method with the black matrix between the picture elements as a pattern mask. Apertures are formed by removing the silicone rubber layer 3 and the photosensitive resin layer 2 in the exposed parts and thereafter, dyeable media are applied to form the dyeable medium layers 4 in the apertures. The respective dyeable medium layers 4 are dyed to three primary colors 5 to 7; red, green and blue. Namely, the partition walls to prevent 'blurring' and 'spreading' of coloring materials are formed by the black matrix.
