PURPOSE:To show optical non-linear characteristic even when the laser light of low output is made to enter a core by forming an optical fiber core whose clad has low refractive index in the core and outside the core. CONSTITUTION:The surface of capillary glass is coated with a carbon layer 3. Next, the surface is coated with copper (Cu) 4 and gold (Au) 5. Then, CdS particles principally composed of SiO2 are dispersed in a small hole 1. And the core part 7 having higher refractive index than that of the clad part 2 is formed to obtain a single mode type optical fiber combined with the clad part 2 on which fluorine is doped. Thus, the optical non-linear characteristic is shown by particulates dispersed in the core by making the laser light of low output enter the core 7 of the optical fiber. |
