PURPOSE:To further improve a switching function as a light switch and to reduce the size of a switch by a method wherein the number of mating photo ports switcheable and connectable to one photo port is set to four containing a self-photo switch. CONSTITUTION:In a state that a current is not supplied in the switching parts of all light switches, when a light signal is inputted through a light port 5b, light connection of the port 5b to 6b is made. When the light signal is inputted through a port 8b, light connection of the port 8b to 7b is carried out. When the switching parts of switches 1 and 3 are worked and all of other switches are not worked, light connection of the port 5b to the port 7b and light connection of the port 8b to 6b are carried out. When the switching parts 2 and 4 are worked and all other switches are not worked, light connection of the port 5b to 8b and light connection of the port 6b to 7b are performed. When only the switching part of a switch 5 is worked and all of other switches are not worked, a light signal guided through the port 5b is reflected by a total reflection mirror 11a and returned to the port 5b to effect self-diagnosis. As noted above, the switching part of each light switch is properly worked and the number of mating light ports to which a single port is switched and connected is set to four containing the own light port. |
