<p>PURPOSE:To advance the actuation of the heater in an electric water heater in time and make a supply of hot water therefrom promptly available by providing close to and above the heater inside the tank a means of sensing water whose output terminals are connected to an automatic water-feeding-discharging control device. CONSTITUTION:When an automatic water-feeding-discharging control device 6 is set in the feedwater mode, an automatic feedwater valve 7 opens and water is fed from a feedwater pipe 3 into a hot-water storage tank 1 while air is bled from this tank 1 through an air-bleeding valve 11. When the tank 1 is thus fixed with water, the automatic water-feeding-discharging control device 6 monitors and insures, on the basis of an action signal inputted from a flow switch 9, the feeding of water into the hot-water storage tank 1. When a water sensor 10 senses water in the hot-water storage tank 1, the water sensor 10 sends a signal meaning its sensing of water to the automatic water-feeding-discharging control device 6, which, acting on the input of the signal, turns on power supply to a heater 2 to heat the water in the hot-water storage tank 1. The hot-water storage tank 1 is filled with water to capacity and a supply of heated water becomes available at any time through a hot-water supply pipe 4.</p> |
