PURPOSE:To prevent a drive wheel from its lock at the time of operating a brake with a manual range selected by moving a downshift car speed in a shift pattern, at the time of brake operation, to a low car speed side from the downshift car speed at the time of non-brake operation. CONSTITUTION:At the time of non-brake operation by selecting a manual range, an automatic speed change of upshift and downshift is performed in a plurality of low speed shift regions based on a shift pattern (a) corresponding to a throttle opening and a car speed. Further, a downshift car speed of the shift pattern (a) is determined by an engine overrevolution limit and a coast tire slip limit. At the time of brake operation by selecting the manual range, in a manual range speed change control means (c), the downshift car speed in the shift pattern (a) is sometimes moved to a low car speed side from the downshift car speed at the time of non-brake operation based on brake operation detection by a brake operation detecting means (b). |
