PURPOSE:To extend a life of an endless belt and to reduce aged deterioration of electric characteristic by increasing a pressure of air in a transfer unit so that foreign matter is prevented from infiltrating while discharging O3, NOx with air from a space or the like between the endless belt and a frame. CONSTITUTION:A transfer unit 7 is mounted rotatably about a rotary shaft 6 and made possible to bring an endless belt 1 into contact with and to separate it from a sensitized unit 8. A charge member 14 is set up interposing the belt 1 in a position opposed to the sensitized unit 8. An opening part 21 is provided in a side wall part of a frame 10 of the unit 7 and opposed to a blower means 22 of a mechanical frame 11. When printing is performed, the inside of the unit 7 is filled with O3, NOx, etc. generated from the member 14, but when air is blown in the inside of the unit 7 by the means 22, a pressure of air in the inside is a little increased thus to cause air to leak with O3, NOx, etc. from a space or the like between the belt 1 and the frame 10, and the inside of the unit 7 is ventilated further to prevent also infiltration of foreign matter into the inside from the space or the like between the belt 1 and the frame 10. |
