<p>PURPOSE:To prevent the generation of a damage caused by the solidification of a molten metal intruded into a gap based on expansion and shrinkage between layers in a filtration chamber by forming inner peripheral cross-sectional face shape of a brick inner wall in the filtration chamber filtrating the molten metal Al, etc., to be heated to a circular or an elliptic shape. CONSTITUTION:A filtration unit 2 in a filtration vessel 1 for filtrating the molten metal of Al, zinc or copper heated with a heater from an upper part, is housed in the filtration chamber 6. Front wall 9, rear wall 10, right wall 12 and left wall 11 in the filtration chamber 6 are made of a three layered structure composed of a brick inner wall 14 in the inner wall, a ceramic-made refractory outer wall 15 in the outer wall and a castable layer 16 between the inner wall 14 and the outer wall 15, and the whole or a part of outsides of the walls 9, 11, 12 is surrounded with a thin iron plate. Then the inner peripheral cross-sectional face shape of the brick inner wall 14 in the filtration chamber 6 is formed to a circular or an elliptic shape. By this method, even if it is cooled accompanied with completion of the work, as the cross sectional inner peripheral shape of the brick inner wall 14 is a circle an ellipse, the shrinking degree by mutually stretching is small, and difference between expansion and shrinkage is reduced. Thus, the aim can be achieved.</p> |
