[Also in Division A1] A crop-feeding drum for the cutting-table of a combine-harvester comprises a rotary drum 2 with fingers 1 retractably projecting through its surface, the fingers being disposed in radial planes passing through the axis of the drum and being periodically retracted and projected by the engagement of rollers 5 with stationary cams mounted within the drums. Diametrically-opposed fingers are connected in groups by frames 10 having slots 11 to accommodate the stationary central axle 3 of the drum, which carries the cams 7. The fingers extend across the central part of the feeding drum, the outer parts being formed with inwardly-facing auger-flights (Fig. 2, not shown). |
