PURPOSE:To obtain a germicide containing penta-4-enyl-N-furfuryl-N-imidazol-1- ylcarbonyl-DL-homoalaninate and copper germicide and capable of simultaneously controlling mold blights and bacterial blights by the small dose. CONSTITUTION:(A) A compound expressed by formula I is blended with (B) a copper germicide expressed by formulae II to VI as active ingredients, preferably in a blend ratio of the ingredient B of 0.01-1 pt.wt. (preferably 0.1-0.3 pt.wt. in the case of a copper germicide expressed by formulae II to IV and 0.5-1.5 pts.wt. in the case of a copper germicide expressed by formulae V to VI), based on 1 pt.wt. ingredient A. Since the above-mentioned germicide can exhibit high repelling effects not only on mold blights but on bacterial blights by a synergistic effect of the component. A with the component B and, further, the repelling effect can be preserved even when the dose of the germicide is reduced to 1/2 to 1/3 that of the component A as well as 1/2 to 1/3 that of the component B in the single dosing case of components A and B, respectively, the germicide can be used as a seed disinfectant, stem and leaf spraying agent without fear of phytotoxicity. |
