PURPOSE:To obtain the subject material having superior corrosion resistance, spreadability and shelf stability by mixing a refractory material having regulated grain size with a compd. contg. water of crystallization and hydrophobic silica flour and/or water repellent silicone oil in a specified weight ratio. CONSTITUTION:A powdery mixture is prepd. by mixing 40-95wt.% refractory material having regulated grain size such as alumina with 60-5wt.% one or more kinds of compds. contg. >=30wt.% water of crystallization such as Na2 B4O7.10H2O and Na4P2O6.10H2O, and 100 pts. wt. of the mixture are kneaded with 0.01-1 pt. wt. hydrophobic silica flour and/or water repellent silicone oil to produce a powdery dry baking material. This material is filled into a paper bag, etc., and put in a red-heated industrial furnace. In this furnace, the water of crystallization is separated and scattered to give kinetic energy to the baking material. Satisfactory spreadability is rendered, a slurried state is obtd., the baking material extends on the internal damaged part of the furnace and the repairing refractory material is tightly bonded. |
