PURPOSE:To save the labor for returning to a system screen or changing an repeating the setting of system constituting environment by allowing font switching during the execution of an application program. CONSTITUTION:An operating system (OS) 1 starts an automatic font switching device program 4 upon confirmation that a font switching key 2 is pushed down during the execution of the application program or in a system prompt state. The font mode assigned by the pushed down font switching key 2 is collated in accordance with the automatic font switching device program 4 and the switching to the freshly assigned font set is executed. The font set is prepd. to the system currently under use as a font table in a ROM or auxiliary memory device. Since the font is switched during the execution of the application program, the system screen is restored. Or the labor of repeating by changing the system constitution (environment setting) is saved. |
