PURPOSE:To simplify wiring of an optical fiber cable to an optical device or its dislodging work and to improve workability by using a surplus length storage device winding up the surplus length of the optical fiber cable around a case and storing it. CONSTITUTION:A surplus length storage device of an optical fiber cable 10 is constituted into a case to open and close a bottom plate and an upper cover 1 on one side and to fold rectangularly, and an outside piece 1a to readjust a wind-up outer diameter of the optical fiber cable is provided on the upper cover and an inside piece 2b to adjust an inner diameter on the bottom plate and they are integrally moulded with a synthetic resin material. Consequently, it is possible to open the upper cover and wind up the optical fiber cable 10 in a loop along the outside of the inside piece, and in this state, it is possible to store the optical fiber cable 10 safely and compact in the case by adjusting the wind-up outer diameter of the optical fiber cable 10 with the outside piece 1a by way of engaging an engagement part to a slit after closing the upper cover. |
