SOUND IMAGE CONTROL PROCESSING METHOD

PURPOSE:To obtain the acoustic expression meeting the display positional relation of media by automatically changing sound image location with a change in the display position by the method preset at the time when a change is added to the display positions of sound producing bodies. CONSTITUTION:A control section 405 determines the fresh display coordinates of the sound producing bodies by using a display coordinate extracting section 403 and calculates a fresh acoustic parameter by using an acoustic parameter calculating section 404 when there is the change in the display coordinates of the individual sound producing bodies. The sounds of the sound producing bodies are located in the acoustic space by controlling a sound image locating section 407 in accordance with this fresh acoustic parameter. The correlative relation f of the display coordinates of the sound producing bodies and the acoustic parameter to locate the sounds to be produced by the sound producing bodies is expressed by the subject image of D=f(S) where the display space is designated as D and the acoustic parameter space as S. The sound image location meeting the display positions of the sound producing bodies is attained in this way.
