The working of an oil deposit in "double completion", according to the accepted term of the art, normally involves the use of two production tubes which are arranged side-by-side in a well in order to separately raise hydrocarbons from two separate producing layers (210, 220). The present invention instead proposes two production tubes (10, 30) which are concentric so that the passage cross sections for the hydrocarbons are, for an identical size of well, appreciably increased. The corresponding working method then provides for the use of a safety system which is already known, but hitherto used in another context. This system comprises a sleeve (100) designed to cross over the flows of hydrocarbons established respectively in the central pipe (110) and in the annular gap (9) between the two production tubes (10, 30). Two safety valves (50) are furthermore fitted on either side of the sleeve (100) in order, in the event of an accident, to interrupt the flow in the central pipe (110). <IMAGE>
