PURPOSE:To manufacture ceramics superconductor efficiently while preventing generation of void, by performing plastic work to a compound billet, which is obtained by filling the required base material for a superconductor in a metal sheath, so as to form the billet into a desired form, and performing heat treatment at a predetermined temperature for a predetermined holding time. CONSTITUTION:The base material for ceramic superconductor is filled in a metal sheath made of such as Ag to form a compound billet, and plastic work is performed to this compound billet to form it into a desired shape such as a rectangle or the like. Next, at the time of making heat treatment for forming ceramic superconductor, if a temperature for melting the metal sheath partially is held for a predetermined time, generation of void to be caused by partial expansion of the metal sheath is prevented. While generation of void is thereby prevented, ceramic superconductor is manufactured efficiently. |
