<p>Continuous casting appts. includes a mould which is given an oscillator motion by a drive mechanism. At least one molten sensor operating in dependence on a parameter of mould motion generates signals A1 corresponding to that parameter. A pulse emitter using a parameter corresponding to movement of a part of the drive mechanism generates pulses S1 each time the mould passes a predetermined position. From these pulses there are produced S2 pulses which are evenly spaced in time between the S1 pulses. At each S2 pulse the A1 signals are sampled and stored in successive registers R1. Each time an S1 pulse occurs the collection in the first register R1 is restarted.</p> |
