The present invention relates to a broom which can be fitted to handles of different diameters. This broom comprises a tube or hollow shaft (1) formed of two end parts (1a) (1b) which alone are in contact with the handle (4) of the broom when it is mounted in this tube; namely a first end (1a) which is radially deformed outwards under the pressure effect exerted by the insertion of the handle, and a second end part (1b) which is deformed radially inwards under the effect of screwing the tube (1) carrying the top of the bristles (2) into a protective sleeve (3). <IMAGE>
