The suspension (1) has rods (2) for connection of supports and/or fasteners for the cables etc. They can also serve for retaining trucks, troughs etc. Their ends are fitted with an orthogonal, rectangular head plate (7) with bevelled corners (12) and several parallel, straight, long narrow sides (9). The rods are connectable to a ceiling or wall by the head plate. There is an adaptor (14) with a retainer (26) for the head plate and with apertures (28) for bolts to be anchored in the ceiling or wall. The distance between the apertures is at least identical as the permitted min. spacing between adjacent dowels for their max. load-bearing capacity.
