Removal of suspended material from organic materials e.g, alkanes, alkenes, cycloalkanes cycloalkenes, aromatic hydrocarbons and their mixts. where the organic component is the main component is new. The process comprises adding fatty alcohol polyglycolether at an adjusted mixing intensity and mixing direction to convert the suspended material into a liq. phase separable form. The material is then sepd. from the liq. phase using the usual solid-liq. sepn. techniques. Mixing the organic liq. (mixt.) with the fatty alcohol polyglycolether gives a flocculation-agglomeration on reaction after which the solids can be sepd. by sedimentation, centrifugation, filtration etc. USE/ADVANTAGE - The process allows repeated use, or use for a different purpose of e.g, lubricating oil, roller oil, petroleum, diesel oil benzene used for washing etc.
