The system keeps ferritic bodies and stones in particular out of a coal-mill sieve. Inside the sieve unit and immediately after the outlet from the hammer rotor are vertical conduits (6) with funnel mouths(5). At the highest point in each of these is an inclined impact plate(22), to which a downwards-sloping discharge conduit(14) is connected. This leads to a collecting hopper (7) to the side of the sieve unit(1). ADVANTAGE - Simplicity, without affecting sifting of gas current from mill.
