The pulverised-coal burner incorporates primary and secondary passages. The primary passage forms part, via a baffle(7), of a distributor connected to central and annular passages(10,8). The central passages contain a jet pipe(13) connected to the secondary passage, and the annular one a swirl-inducing system(9). ADVANTAGE - Simplicity, and low nitrous-oxide emission.
