PURPOSE:To obtain the subject compound containing little foreign substances with a simple extraction and purification operation in high yield by culturing a young seedling of a plant of family Leguminosae while treating with a stressing agent containing a water-soluble inorganic salt. CONSTITUTION:A young seedling of a plant of family Leguminosae is cultured while treating with a stressing agent containing preferably 0.01-50mM of a water-soluble inorganic salt [preferably AgNO3, FeSO4, FeCl3, Zn(NO3)2, Pb(NO3)2, SO(NO3)2, SnCl2, CoCl2, HgCl2, CuCl2 or CuSO4] and an isoflavonoid compound is separated from the cultured young seedling. |
