<p>NEW MATERIAL:A glycyrrhetinic acid derivative shown by the formula (R1 is H or glucose; R2 is H or C0CH2CO0H; R1 and R2 are not H at the same time). USE:A drug having anti-inflammatory action. PREPARATION:For example, a callus separated from root of ginseng is infected with Agrobacterium rhizogenes A-4 strain by coexisting culture method, a hair root is separated, put in a liquid medium containing kinetin, subjected to subculture at 25 deg.C at a dark place while stirring, 18beta-glycyrrhetinic acid dissolved in ethanol, is added to the culture mixture, which is cultured further for a week, the culture solution is filtered, treated with an adsorbing resin, the adsorbed material is eluted with methanol and the eluted fraction is successively subjected to silica gel column chromatography and high performance liquid chromatography and purified to give a compound shown by the formula.</p> |
