<p>PURPOSE:To rapidly perform shape correcting function by making the interval between separated rolls adjustable by providing a back-up roll on one side with a hydraulic driving means and making a back-up roll on the other side into a shape similar to a work roll, also making its diameter larger than that of the work roll. CONSTITUTION:In the upper back-up roll 28, the separated support rolls 34 is made movable in the axial direction and roll bending is adjusted by that position movement. The position movement of the separated rolls is performed by opening and closing a straddle link 72 with the hydraulic driving means. In the lower back-up roll 30, a roll with a diameter larger than that of the work roll is arranged. Roll bending can be rapidly adjusted by pressing bending the lower work roll 24 downwards by expanding/ contracting motion with the hydraulic driving means and pushing it against the surface of the lower back-up roll, and crown control in high-speed rolling is accurately performed. In this way, proper position control with high adaptation in high-speed rolling can be cxecuted.</p> |
