[Also in Divisions C3 and D2] A colour-former oil (comprising organic dye precursors in organic solvents) is microencapsulated by mixing it with a solution comprised of gum arabic, Turkey red oil and an unsaturated polyester in water, stirring at 70‹ C., and adding potassium persulphate solution. Stirring is then continued until the polymeric " skin " has formed. |
