A rotating conical centrifuge drum separates sugar liquor from the solid crystals ejected at the upper rim to impinge on a large number of flat thin resilient metal strips projecting with adjustable angle of incidence , from a ring rotating at controlled speed. Axially spaced rom the rotating ring is a fixed ring conduit with regularly spaced apertures for the continuous emission of liquid to form a mesh with sugar crystals deflected by the metal strips or by an adjacent guide wall.
