A checking finds whether the first digit of an incoming dialed signals represents a special function code. If it does not represent a special function code, the call is processed as a normal call, while if it does, the operation transits to a control number receiving mode to receive a special function service code digit. Then the gradation of the subscriber is discriminated, and a path word digit is received. Then a checking finds whether the received path word corresponds with the already registered path word. If it does not correspond, it is processed as an error, while if it does correspond, the operation transits to a control number receiving mode to check whether the received secret code corresponds with the code for servicing.
