The invention relates to a door pillar (1) for passenger car coachwork consisting of a substantially vertical hollow section bearer (1) and longitudinally spaced hinge lugs (5, 6) secured to it to which a vehicle door is fitted so as to pivot. According to the invention, the hollow section bearer (1) is an extruded light-metal section with an outer wall (2), to the inner wall of which at least three transversely spaced cage sections (20, 21) are arranged to receive nuts for bolted joints. The hinge lugs (5, 6) are bolted to a base-plate (7, 8) via slots (3, 4) in the outer wall (2), whereby the hinge lugs (5, 6) can be shifted along the slots (3, 4) before the bolts are tightened and are thus adjustable for height. Hinge lugs (5, 6) with supporting arms or bolt holes (32, 33) at various transverse points are proposed so that the hinge pin (17) may be located obliquely to the section. |
