The chassis 23 of a semi-trailer has slots 22 to accommodate pins 21 on a pair of upstanding arms 20 which are retractable under the chassis by rams 25. To the upper ends of the arms 20 an A-frame 6 is pivoted, and the frame 6 is moved from the horizontal in-use position shown to a vertical position by the ram 9. Actuation of the ram 25 with the A-frame in the vertical position retracts the whole coupling parts below the chassis. |
