摘要 PURPOSE:To obtain an optical data recording medium having high reliability and stable quality by adding an equilibrium mixture of an asymmetric dithiolate metal complex and a symmetric dithiolate metal complex to at least one of the undercoat layer, protective layer and recording layer of the optical data recording medium. CONSTITUTION:In an optical data recording medium obtained by providing a recording layer containing an org. dye based on a polymethine compound on a substrate, an equilibrium mixture of an asymmetric dithiolate metal complex and a symmetric ditholate metal complex is added. The change of the composition of a coating solution with the elapse of time is eliminated and a recording film having stable quality can be prepared and the optical data recording medium excellent in heat stability and light stability can be obtained. As a solvent used in order to form an equilibrium state, acetonitrile, acetone, ethyl acetate, 1,2-dichloroethane and the like are designated. The desirable mol ratio of the symmetric dithiolate metal complex and the asymmetric dithiolate metal complex is 6:4-2:8. When the ratio of the asymmetric dithiolate metal complex is less than 40% and larger than 80%, compositional stability is deteriorated.
