<p>A formulation that can be used to stabilise silage from cereal and other crops, and to enhance its nutritive value and digestibility in a ruminant, is of: enzymes comprising β-1,4-xylanase and β-1,3-xylosidase, but substantially free of β-1,4-glucanase and β-1,4-cellobiohydrolase; and one or more microorganisms selected for their ability to convert pentosans to lactic acid, without degrading protein, at pH 4-6.5.</p> |
