The conneccting and sealing system is for use between tubular and housing sections, particularly the grinding and sifting housing of a coal-pulverising mill, there being a peripheral flange at the end of each part. Each flange(9,10) forms a chamber with external seal, and is connected to a suction chamber(14) forming part of a conveyor system. The seal can be of the lip tyre, fixed to one half of the chamber guided loosely on the other one. ADVANTAGE - Simplicity, and easy dismantling for repair work.
