PURPOSE:To cope with various users' demands by including also a mode wherein the card reader device operates even when disconnected from a host computer as a choice. CONSTITUTION:One of three modes is selected under the command of the host computer 2 and a CPU 51 processes ATB coupons. In intelligent mode, passenger data of one flight are received from the computer 2 and when a coupon 4 is inserted into an insertion slot, data read out of its magnetic stripe 4e are compared with the passenger data; and data of each process are stored in a RAM 54 and when a process of one flight ends, data are reported to the host computer 2 together at a time. In nonintelligent mode, the data read out of the stripe 4e are sent to the host computer 2 immediately and the host computer 2 judges whether or not the data are correct and sends an answer to the reader. In normal mode, the data read out of the stripe 4e are checked according to set information and are processed. |
