METHOD FOR THERMOPLASTICS POSTFORMING

A method of thermoforming plastics is described, in which the heating of the plastic before forming takes place through an electrically conducting layer of plastic to which a voltage is applied. The heating is effected by the Joulean heat thereby produced. The method has advantages over conventional heating methods with respect to technical complexity, flexibility and cost-effectiveness.
