<p>An article of apparel is provided having a storage pocket. The article may be a sock (10) having a first portion adapted to surround the foot and a second portion (11) adapted to surround the lower leg of a wearer. The sock has a pocket (12) in the form of a flattened tube (14) having first and second openings. The tube is flattened and folded so that the first opening generally faces toward the middle of the tube. The tube is attached to the second portion of the sock around a portion of the perimeter of the tube. The edges (20) of the folded portion of the tube are attached to the exterior of the sock. The second opening of the tube is closed (22) to form a first pocket within the tube. The space between the tube and the exterior of the sock defines a second pocket (18). <IMAGE> <IMAGE></p>
